Course description
Emotional exhaustion for physicians and other clinicians was already at an all-time high, even before the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, one in three healthcare professionals has already met the criteria for burnout.
A crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic is rarely the time to learn new life skills like meditation, yoga, or running daily 5Ks. Of course, if those are honed and practiced skills, now is the time to use them. However, in the absence of such coping tactics, bite-sized tools and strategies that are simple, effective, and evidence based can help you to regain a sense of purpose and better manage burnout.
Join Dr. Sexton as he discusses perspective, hope, and simple strategies to employ during these tense and unprecedented times.

His research instruments have been used around the world in over 3000 hospitals, in 30 countries. His current R01 grant from NIH is a randomized clinical trial of resilience training.
