COVID-19 has driven unprecedented actions by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to allow expanded use of telemedicine. If you still don't have a grasp of the "temporary rules," register for this program for assistance. The program will also provide an overview on several key Medicare policies.
Join Becky Sanders, Senior Director of the Indiana Rural Health Association and Program Director of the Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center, to learn the basics of Medicare Telemedicine reimbursement. Becky will walk through the steps to determine if a specific physician office is eligible for reimbursement for telemedicine services under Medicare and review the appropriate billing requirements for Medicare telemedicine services, including Remote Patient Monitoring and Chronic Care Management.
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Identify the types of eligible originating sites for Medicare telehealth reimbursement
- Recognize the types of eligible providers for Medicare telehealth reimbursement
- Identify CPT codes for eligible services for Medicare telehealth reimbursement
- Recognize information on CMS's Remote Patient Monitoring and Chronic Care Management programs
