Course description
2017 is a key implementation period for the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA). Medical practices must take action now to avoid financial penalties at a later date.
This program, developed and presented by ISMS’ Health Policy Research and Member Advocacy Division, will help define the essential elements of successful MACRA readiness.

At the conclusion of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the key features of the Quality Payment Program
- Recognize the requirements associated with the two "payment pathways" — the Merit Based Incentive Payment Program and Alternative Payment Models
- Learn options to avoid payment penalties in 2019
