Telemedicine in Illinois and the Impact on Physicians

Telemedicine is a rapidly expanding and evolving technology. This ISMS program will review the regulatory and legislative requirements related to practicing telemedicine in Illinois and across state lines, and highlight issues for physicians to consider when exploring or pursuing telemedicine opportunities or using telemedicine.
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify requirements for practicing telemedicine within Illinois or across state lines
- Recognize benefits and features of Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
- Identify issues that should be considered when incorporating telemedicine into a practice or participating in a commercial telemedicine platform
